These days, professional training is a necessity within the land-based sector.   New health and safety regulations mean that employers must ensure that employees using or supervising equipment or machinery have received proper instruction to an appropriate standard and, moreover, that they have a valid certificate or documentation to support this.

As well as complying with health and safety requirements, many organisations also recognise the benefits of training, including lower vehicle maintenance costs, longer vehicle life, lower insurance rates and ‘Investment in People’.    In recent years,  the need for driver training has been actively sought by, amongst others:

These organisations, together with farming, industry at large and even the general public, have all been challenged to locate and define a training establishment with proven standards, good facilities and suitable test tracks.    In the past they have been obliged to seek to fill them from a plethora of sites and organisations, often with widely dispersed sites and seriously differing standards.

However, Nationwide 4x4 has created a single standard of LANTRA Awards-approved driving courses, with  professional driver training in well-located, registered and recognised sites.   To cope with the demands of large organisations for off-road training we have designed and instigated a series of intense training programmes, including the 4x4 Professional Off Road Driving Course, the 4x4 Instructional Techniques Course, the 4x4 Off road Instructor Course and the One Day 4x4 Off-road Health & Safety Course.    Where possible, these courses are tailored to suit the specific needs, numbers and budget of a particular organisation.  

 Our services are frequently in demand by some of the major motor manufacturers (including BMW, Mitsubishi and Ford) for their commercial and specialised vehicle divisions, and we have sound working relationships with most of the 4x4 vehicle manufacturers, including Vauxhall, Ford County, Ford Motor Co., Land Rover and Mercedes.
